My goal it to build a robotic hand and write a code so that I can controlled through Arduino.
The reason why I was interested to build on this idea was because I was always interested in robotics and I thought it would be fun to do. I have taken an Introduction to Computer Programming class in my sophomore year and am taking an AP Computer Science currently in my junior year. I also participate in the club Science Olympiad where I have worked on multiple little projects pertaining to scientific stuff. I also worked on programming a gyroscope in my sophomore year of high school using the same software, Arduino, as I used for my Signature.
My dad was the person who helped me come up with the project in the first place and we discussed the main design of my project the summer before.
My mentor Dr. Legg helped me plan my project and advised me on how to conduct my project whenever I reached a wall.
Mr. McCorkle taught me about the Arduino and helped me with any technical problems
My only website reference that I used was Arduino. I used it to know which materials I would need such as the Darlington Array and example code that I later made my own. I would also look at the model and design of the motor to know which wire was which. I also used the site to look at the diagram of how to to wire the Arduino, breadboard and motor.
